    That's lose lose, I presume.

Well, you could also get a Facebook Chess App (or find other online communities) and play there. You are sure to find well matched opponents and an abundance of them too!

I feel the same about poker...

One part of me says stick it out and learn it - it's worth it in the long run and the other part says, freakin hell there must be something easier to do for enjoyment - especially as my brain already suffers from information overload.

Maybe you should put it on your list for things to tackle once retired (and we are planning to retire early aren't we?)

@FeistyFemale I LOVE poker and I happen to be somewhat good at it :) I now belong to a secret poker club so I will fill you in on the deets when next I see you. While we're at it, we can plan our early retirement!

i loved playing chess, when i was like 8....i've never tried since.

maybe try playing Snap with your dad - then at least the playing ground is level!

I'll play with you. Hubby taught me a few years ago, but I just got thrashed by him and the other seasoned players. It put me off a for a while, even though I enjoyed it, so I think it's time for us girls to reclaim some strategic pride. (I also suck at golf, but really like the outfits.)
